LISA ELLINGSON - Vice President
Lisa was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up in northern Minnesota. Lisa attended the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul and also studied for a year in Grenoble, France. She is currently a 3L at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis. In 2004, Lisa participated in the IIIHR program for adoptees in Gimhae, South Korea. She went back to Korea this past August of 2007 to attend her first IKAA Gathering and to present at the IKAA Research Symposium.

THOMAS TAE YANG JOERGENSEN - International Advisor
Thomas Tae Yang Jørgensen was born in Pusan, South Korea. He was adopted at the age of 4 to a family in Denmark. He currently resides in Minneapolis and joins the board with leadership experience as both an IKAA Planning committee member as well as a current board member of Korea Klubben, Denmark's association for Korean adoptees. He has been back to Korea 6 times since being adopted and has met his birth family. Tae Yang works in the IT field and is currently finishing up his Master's Degree in IT. He enjoys soccer, photography, poker, watching movies, traveling and meeting adoptees from everywhere.

LISA MEDICI - President
Lisa was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1980. She was adopted at the age of 8 months and grew up in Richfield, Minnesota. Lisa graduated with a bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management at University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 2002. In July 2001, Lisa participated in the Holt Summer School Program in Ilsan, South Korea. She was a camp counselor for Camp Choson in July 2002, went to the IKAA Gathering in Seoul in 2004 and and was a planning committee member for the IKAA Gathering in 2007. Lisa currently works at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Plymouth, MN as a Conference Service Manager.  In her spare time, Lisa enjoys tae kwon do, golf, traveling, poker and hanging with friends.

KIMBERLY "SOON-YOUNG" THERRES – Secretary
Soon-Young was born in Gimhae, South Korea in 1978. She was adopted when she was nearly 5 months old. She grew up in Chaska, Minnesota and graduated from the College of Saint Benedict with a degree in Communication/Theater concentration. Her first visit back to Korea was in 2005 where she spent just over two weeks exploring Seoul. She was able to locate her birth father while there. Most recently she attended the IKAA Gathering this past August of 2007. Currently, Soon-Young is working full-time in the Racial Justice department at the YWCA of Minneapolis. In her spare time, she enjoys running, blogging, playing piano, and watching Korean dramas.
