DAVID MOSCHKAU, President

Korean Name: Bae Bu Ki (배부기)
Adopted at: 5 years
Raised in:  Big Lake, Minnesota
Educational Background: B.S. North Dakota State University
Career:  Software Engineer
Reason for joining board: "I want to bring awareness to the thousands of Korean adoptees in Minnesota about their unique history and connect them with others that share that same history.  Being one of the older adoptees with mixed children of my own and becoming interested in my Korean culture later in my life, I feel I can help reach a group that has yet to be represented."
Enjoys: Spending time with his daughters, running, playing poker, and being with friends.

STEPHANIE MOELLER, Treasurer

Korean Name:  Shin, Mee Jung (신미정)
Adopted at: 9 years
Raised in: Algona, Iowa
Educational background: M.A. Music & Arts Administration (UMKC); B.A. Business Administration & Music (Wartburg College)
Career: Sourcing Analyst
Reason for joining board: "My desire to join the board is two-fold.  I was very blessed to have the opportunity to live in Korea for 3 years (2008-2011), during which time I was able to fully utilize the resources offered to me by various Korean adoptee organizations.  Upon my return back to the states, I decided I would like to give back to the adoptee community which had given me so much.  As a board member, I'd like to offer my services as an act of gratitude.   Secondly, having grown up in an area with very little exposure to Korean culture and fellow adoptees, being a board member seemed an ideal way to fully immerse myself in this community. I have a strong desire to learn more about the international Korean adoptee organizations and am excited to gain first hand exposure as a board member."
Enjoys:  Traveling, running, yoga, music, and taking Dakota (her beagle) to the dog park.
Adoption fact: Stephanie was adopted along with her biological sister (who was 7 at the time) and her biological brother (who was 4 at the time).

KATE SUN, Secretary

Korean Name: Choi, Sun Hae (최선혜)
Adopted at: 2 years
Raised in: Boston, Massachusetts
Educational background: B.A. Fine Arts (University of South Florida, Tampa, FL); Korean Language (Hongik University, Seoul, Korea)
Career: Graphic Artist
Reason for joining board: "Being new to the Twin Cities, I would like to meet other adoptees while helping to bring the adoptee community together. I want to share my experiences of living in Korea, reuniting with my birth family, learning the Korean Language & experiencing the Korean culture with others. I'm thankful for my adoptee friends & the adoptee community with whom our shared experiences build strength & hope for our journeys ahead."
Enjoys: Yoga, art museums, photography, films, spending time with her fiancée, traveling, and having fun with friends.
Fun Fact: Kate was featured with her two adoptee friends from Sweden & the Netherlands in ELLE Magazine Korea in November 2010. The story celebrated female Korean role models in society.

SOON-YOUNG OH, Contributing Member and VIP

Korean Name: Huh, Soon Young (허순영)
Adopted at: 5 months
Raised in: Chaska, Minnesota
Educational Background: B.A. Communication, College of Saint Benedict
Career: Marketing Associate
Reason for joining board: "Connecting with people who have our similar and unique experiences is critical as adopted individuals, and I hope to encourage these connections by serving on the board."
Enjoys: Coffee shops, K-dramas, K-Pop, green tea lattes, jogging, cooking Korean food, long walks around the Twin Cities, traveling, attending Korean adoptee gatherings when time and money allow, Xbox Kinect games, and playing piano.
Traveling fact: Soon-Young visited the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal and Stonehenge over the course of one year, and has lived extensively as an adult in China and South Korea.
